Working For a Living

I’m going on vacation this week. Funny thing is, I already can not wait to get back home. Why? So I can go to work next week! No, the sheep didn’t knock my head into the wall again.  You see, I went out and got myself a new job.

Interpreter at Conner Prairie

Hee, hee! Can you believe that they’re actually going to pay me to do this? Bah, ha, ha!

Okay, sorry, I’ll try to compose myself.

*snicker*

Please, come see me at Conner Prairie this summer, you’ll find me in or around the Loom House, The Civil War Journey or in the Animal Encounters barn.

What a dream job! Have fun!

Are you making your clothes for this? Is that what the pattern thing was about?

Christine said...

No, they provide the clothing. The pattern thing was for our Civil War reenactment group.

Congratulations! You'll have a great time with this. I've been to Conner Prarie several times and enjoyed it immensely. (I was lucky enough to stay at the B&B right across the road.) I'll have to plan another trip this summer and come see you. I love Indianapolis- its a great city. Take care -

That is TOO COOL Christine! I can see where it would be a tremendously rewarding 'job' but I'd worry about being too hot in the summer! (probably because I can't stand anything above 70 degrees!)

Congratulations ~ I hope it's everything that you want it to be!

Congratulations! You were born for that job!

My best advice, buy some skin so soft lotion from Avon because the mosquitos are bad by the loom house.

How much fun!!! I can see why you would be excited about going to work everyday!! Ohhhhh -- to wear those dresses everyday!! I do civil war reenacting on weekends -- I love the camping and doing the camp life!
But to be paid for it!! WOW!! Too much fun!! Have you done some family research and are you going to be a family member?
I have a running blog by John Lester of Sullivan Co., Indiana. He was in the Company E, 59th Regiment Volunteer Infantry. Most of the boys were from Sullivan, and Knox Co., Indiana area.

You are getting work work with two of my favorite people, Sue Payne and Louise Hoover. Those two ladies have taught me so much over the years. Congratulations! In my opinion, you have a dream job!

I volunteered there 10+ years ago sewing costumes for the 1836 village. I miss it.
