Just wanted to say hi Christine - thanks for your compliments on my blog...we must not be very far apart - I am in NW Indy near Eagle Creek Park. My mom has the pincushion pattern - I can get the details from her if you'd like (and she'd probably be happy to lend it out too). If you have any more rooster problems, I also have a SIL who has a farm and no more roosters...so I could probably hook you up!
I have used other blog patterns and also made them from just calico. have increased the sizes to 9 and 12-inches also for some big'ol chickens. Have fun.

Go to joypatch.blogspot.com and ask Joy where she got her pattern.
I just googled "Chicken Pincushion" and found several pattern sources, one was even free.
Good Luck!
