Serving Up Hot Wings

It’s so hot the chickens are complaining that their deodorant isn’t working.

And Thelma is trying to determine just how close she can get her face to the fan without getting a shave.

I’m doing everything I can to keep everyone cooled off.

“Really now, you’re doing everything?”, asked Louise.

“The dogs told us you have something called air conditioning. We want in.”

HA! Sounds like you've been holding out on the critters! Shame on you.

Darn dogs! I'd make 'em sleep outside tonight!

I tell my animals all the time that the world on the other side of their fence is full of haters and sometimes I am one of them;) I am getting excited to see mid-80's next week!

Thelma is looking a lot better. Why does her fur change pattern part way down her back? Was more cut off there?

She's just really dirty in that picture. She likes to lay in the wet grass then roll in the dust.

Ha! I keep telling my mom that my girls are trying to fan their armpits, but she doesn't believe me. Poor things, we're doing everythiing we can, too, but it's brutal! At least they've all had their haircuts....

The chickens at my neighbors stay out in the rain without their umbrellas. We in the Pacific Northwest are looking forward to weather above 70 in the next few days.

I have a sheep - well, it's Boudreaux - who, if he looks as bad tonight as he did last night, I am thinking about running him into the wash room with the AC. Can't believe this heat.

I think I love Louise. Do you think my cats would notice if she came to spend the night in my house?

Yup, they'd come in - and push you right out without any thought to you staying cool. How ungrateful would that be? LOL
