I did it! Few things have made me more proud.
Making cloth is a very complicated process. There was a reason it would take an apprentice years to master the craft. They must learn to design a draft, calculate the project, measure the warp, sley the reed, thread the heddles, and tie up the treadles all before they even begin. Then there is the actual act of weaving, and learning to keep even tension and an even beat. I am a long way from becoming a master, but I’m making one of the most beautiful alpaca shawls you have ever seen and I couldn’t be more pleased with myself.

Alpaca shawl...which alpaca is it for and how big do you have to make it? Seriously, though...I am so impressed with all your talents and the ambition you have to do oeverything you do.
Wow, that project must have taken some time. What are you going to do with the cloth when finished?
I CANNOT wait to see it!!!!!!!
Kim
AWESOME!!
and you have to learn a whole new language, congratulations, is that the new loom?
Amazing.
Yes, this is the new loom. I'm also warping the counter balance loom for making rag rugs and hope to have both in full production by the end of the week.
Looking forward to seeing you in your new beautiful shawl!
Wow! I'm impressed! If it's done before we leave for Tennessee, bring it so I can check it out. ;D
Congratulations! You have just listed some of the many reasons why I DO NOT WEAVE. Way too complicated for me! You however are an inspiration!
Back to spinning and knitting in the Bluff Country...
You are talking a foreign language here. But I'm sure your shawl will be gorgeous.
Oh, how proud you should be!! Weaving is one of those things I'd love to be exposed to so I could learn all about it. Weaving, rug hooking....and a bunch of other things, too! I'll be looking forward to seeing the completed project!!
Looks like a beautiful twill pattern. Good job!
Fabulous! I can't wait to see it.
Wow! Beautify fabric!!! I can't wait to see what you make out of it!
I am impressed. You did more than I could do.
That gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "making fabric". I've tried just enough weaving to know that what you are doing is incredibly awesome! Good for you!
Congratulations and welcome to the fun world of weaving. I can't wait to see more of what you produce.
That's beautiful! Very impressive -- you have every reason to be proud!
