Ethel's Identity Crisis

What are you doing, Ethel?
"I'm looking for paws under the door. Someone let some stray cats in the house. I hate cats."

Those aren't strays, Ethel. They are your cousins, Geo and Loki.

"No way. They can't be my cousins. They're CATS. I, obviously, am not a cat."

Um, actually, we've been meaning to sit you down and have a conversation. We think you're old enough to know.

"Know what?"
Um, Ethel sweetie, while it's true you were raised by dogs and humans, your birth parents are actually - cats.

"Lies! It must be all lies!"

"Although it would explain my superior intelligence and excellent personal hygiene."

Very Funny. I have two cats that think just the same way as yours does

DELIGHTFUL!!

Ethel is just like my "Alice". Alice does not like sheep and the poor dear is forced to LIVE with them! She does her best to keep her distance and only tolerates the company of her own daughter, "Destiny".

Silly Girls. ;-)

Ethyl is beautiful! Ethyl? Hey, Ethyl? Only a cat could be as beautiful as you are, so it's OK, sweetie! My Emma would tell you that cats rule, and she's in charge of this household!

Those are lovely portraits of Ethel. I think our dog thinks she is a chicken.

Beautiful Ethyl! Our kids all have 1 or 2 cats. I can't talk hubby into getting one. I think that they are so interesting. My daughter's cat will only drink by dipping her paw in a glass..and licking her paw. So cute.

Ethel sounds like all of our animals - they are all confused! They're all living in a constant identity crisis.

Okay, am I the only one with Alice Cooper's song "Cold Ethyl" playing in my mind.
Your Ethel, reminds me of the lyrics, Cold Ethyl, cold cold Ethyl!

LOL, funny Milah, I never envisioned you as an Alice Cooper fan. ;-)

how often do you brush her?

Christine said...

Rarely, John. I know I probably should brush her more often, but she does a great job of keeping herself groomed.

Ethyl is a gorgeous cat (person). She reminds me of our Frisky with her attitude. I bottle fed him from three days old and he seriously thinks he's human as well.

From your description of Ethel I'm sorry to tell her but I think she could be a second or third cousin to a cat named "Smudge" who also didn't know she was a cat. Would love to have her back even with her "Attitude"
