I Hope You Dance

This past weekend, Cathy received the Student of the Year award from the Laubach Literacy Foundation of Newfoundland. She was chosen based on her dedication to education; she
hasn't missed a single day of school throughout her cancer treatment. The celebration was attended by about 150 family, friends, and educators from across Newfoundland.

Not one to ever miss anything, especially a party, after a long day of meetings she still managed to dress up for the occasion. Doesn’t she make the cutest little witch ever?

And then she danced the night away, sitting out for only two songs.

The doctors have stopped Cathy’s treatments. She is in God’s hands now. I know one thing for certain, she is an inspiration to us all. We love you, Cathy.

Cathy has a wonderful spirit and that song is so fitting of her.
I'm praying for Cathy and the family. Watching a loved one battle cancer is heartbreaking, been there, done that.

It's impossible to not get choked up when the battle seems hopeless in the face of such courage and grace. I will be sending her more cards....
