Loved this, Christine! I adore re-enactments - specially the Civil War ones. Must've been tough to live back then. thanks for hsaring!

Everything looks so REAL! I bet the men really get into the battle aspects of the reenactment.

Do you spin as well as do laundry?

I am enjoying all your wonderful photos. My GG-Grandfather Levi Seigfried was a 5th generation farmer & blacksmith from Delaware, Ohio and was an Ord Sgt. & 1st Lieut. with the 96th OVI-Company F from that city. He was at Grant's Headquarters in Vicksburg, La and died of Erysipelas of head & face wounds and Dysentery and is buried in Vicksburg National Cem. Levi was awarded The Army Distinguished Service Medal of Honor. He was 31 years old and had three young children. Many thanks for shareing!

Nancy, I didn't take the spinning wheel this last weekend because of all the rain.

Carolina, thanks for sharing. Part of Sunday was spent at the cemetery performing a rememberance ceremony and placing flags for those who served. (Please excuse the poor sound, it was raining.)
