Day, after day, after day the radar has looked like this.
The ground reached its saturation point long ago.
The storms have been particularly violent.
We’ve been lucky compared to others.
So I’m not going to rant. I’m just going to politely say, “We’re full, thanks, feel free to share some of this with the rest of the country.” We can’t take any more rain, because I’m getting my vehicle fixed and the rental agreement specifically said “no pets”. I noticed it said nothing about livestock, however. If we have to move to higher ground, the Golden Girls will have to ride in this with me while the cat and dogs ride in the truck.
Don’t think I wouldn’t do it…

Yes please, send some our way (out west). I bet you could fit a good-sized dog carrier in the back of that rental: the chickens won't mind. :>)
I'm with you - we are more than happy to share some of this Indiana rain with others right about now. As I look at the radar there is yet another round on its way. Stay safe! :D

I live just beneath the second "e" in Cleveland so I am sorry to say that I CANNOT help you out at this time as I threw my tomato plants a life raft after this mornings rain. Perhaps I could send you a few weeds?
Sweet! Imagine how many chicken crates you can stack on that luggage rack!
We also have gotten alot of rain... 2x as much as usual. Lucky for us it is just rain, not storms. But here in the Seattle area we are used to ducks landing in the valley.
We've also had our share of rain here in WV. The saddest story on another blog-a tree blew down in a storm and struck the owner's Great Pyrennees dog in the back and killed it. Very hot days and violent evening storms. Moderation, please!
On another note, I think the girls would have plenty of room in the rental:))
I think England needs it. Maybe you could talk it into going over there....
I'm in the Seattle area too, and we are more than full. No big storms, just lots of cold drizzle with the occasional downpour. It's been something on the order of 270 days since we last managed to hit 75*. The farmers can't plant cuz the fields are under water, and all the livestock is about to get hoof rot, I think. Ugh. Can we send all this down south??
