Why, Oh Why Didn’t I Get That Flu Shot?

I’m down with the plague. I’ve had to resort to stuffing tissues up my nose in order to post this without drowning my keyboard. I can barely put two words together, so this is going to be random, I’m sure.

May I present, the quilt I made for my brother for Christmas. I carefully chose each fabric to match the paint colors in his condo. Now he’s moving. It’s a good thing I like that guy or else I’d think he’s been trying to annoy me lately.

Another, smaller quilt I made during that retreat back in November. My friend, Michelle, did a fabulous job quilting it with her new long arm quilting machine. She has talent I’ll never have and I’m okay with that. I’ll just mail all my tops to her from now on.

While I’ve been sick, I’ve been sitting on the couch knitting. I’d have two hats to show you, except I got half-way with two before ripping them out. Together that qualifies as one, and then there is this one, which I made with my very-first homespun yarn.

I’m not even sure I can knit today. We’ll have to wait and see if my head explodes.

Hope your head stays intact today! And all other days, for that matter. Much like the flu, exploding heads are no fun.

I'm sorry to hear that you've got the flue. Take very good care of yourself so it doesn't get even worse!

I think that your BROTHER should come over and take care of you while you're sick. That's the least he could do considering how thoughtless and selfish he's been (talking about moving, after you custom made him that beautiful quilt)!

Now, off the couch and to BED with you Woman!!!

The quilts are beautiful. The homespun hat is impressive. Now you need to curl up under one of those quilts and sleep as much as you can. The rest will do you good and speed your recovery.
Feel better soon,

Wow - I really LOVE the quilt you made for your brother! If it doesn't match his new place, he can feel free to send it to me. Hope you are feeling better soon!

After baby sitting his cats and making a quilt to match the colors of his place -- he has no choice but to paint the new place to match the quilt!
Hope you fell better soon

Ooooo... sorry about the flu. I had to close my eyes and pray while I got my shot, I've turned into a chicken in my old age!

I got sick on Christmas day and I'm still fighting it. The runny nose has gotten better but the sneezing has been unreal!

And about your quilts. You make me sick. There, I said it. You have two finished projects and I still have the same little stack of flying geese I left retreat with. I'm so ticked!

And....BTW....hope you don't run out of Kleenex.

I can commiserate with you. I've been sick for almost a month. I always thought someone should invent a product similar to a tampon to stick up your nose to stop those drips when you have a cold or the flu. They should have a small string on them to pull them out when they are full, too. I bet someone could make a zillion bucks. Anyway... love your quilts and your hat. Hope you feel better sooner than I am feeling better. Finally broke down and made a dr. appt. for tomorrow. I know I have a lung infection which people with asthma wind up with whenever they get a cold or the flu. Oh well. Enough whining about me. Get your rest and drink lots of fluids.
