I Finished Something!

That doesn’t happen often enough around here anymore so I thought I’d better take advantage of the moment and throw it out there for witnesses.

The applique wall-hanging I worked on for ages then kind of forgot to finish is finally done. The blue border is darker in real life. It’s another cloudy day here so the lighting is bad.

Then I also used the 3-inch blocks I made for Jo Morton’s class during the quilt festival to make a cute little doll quilt.

I’ve decided to make a whole collection of doll quilts to decorate my upstairs hallway. They make great little projects to practice new techniques.

They are beautiful! Are you familiar with Kate Adams? She makes fine mini-quilts, which are stunning! Here's her link.

Wow Christine - when you have a finish you have a finish! I love both quilts and love the idea of decorating a hallway with them. I've made a couple but have no place like that to hang them. I keep telling my husband we need to add on to the house so I'll have more wall space and for some odd reason he thinks I'm crazy. :) blessings, marlene

Holy cow, Mary! Kate's quilts are amazing. I wonder how on earth does she makes them so small?!

They're both beautiful. I can't even decide which border I like best for its stitching. Keep up the good work!

Love the doll quilt idea! My daughter now has the little doll afghan my grandmother crocheted for me about 65 years ago. She made little squares - it's a beauty!
