Did the morning chores.
Washed three loads of laundry.
Filed our taxes.
Paid the bills.
Listed more stuff on ebay.
Ate leftovers for lunch.
Washed the dishes
Worked in the garden.
Prepared a recipe from this book that Milah gave me. It is my new favorite. I plan to cook from it all week.
Last night we had roast chicken, tonight we’re having chicken and dumplings.
I visited with the animals to test my new point and shoot camera. I like it. All of the photos in this post are completely unedited.
It also shoots video. I know, I know, I really need to work on making these animals more friendly.
After shooting the video I walked into the pasture and everyone followed. Well, everyone except Rose, somehow she got her head stuck in the gate. I can’t even begin to imagine how she did that.
If there were ever an animal that could be mistaken for my own flesh and blood it’s poor simple minded, uncoordinated Rose.
She’s fine, just a little embarrassed. Story of my life. We’re two peas in a pod me and Rose. Two peas in a pod.
Anyway, now that all of that is finished I plan to settle in and finish binding my quilt and maybe read a book. What did you do today?

Poor little Rose! I feel for her! Or is she me? I didn't know there was a Little House Cookbook...since when? How did I miss this! Now I have to go to Amazon, order it....you know! ~grin~
Cheers,
Courtney
Cute post... still have to go back and watch the video but wanted to ask what camera you purchased?

O poor Rose, she looks so sad in that last picture!
I bought a Nikon S9100. Small enough to slip into my pocket and take with me everywhere.
I hope Rose doesn't make that a habit or you will wear yourself out rescuing her.
Glad you like the book. The only thing I've made is the cornmeal mush. I made it for Jack's parents last spring when they were not feeling well. I don't know if I can ever make it again without thinking of them.
Your pictures and comments about Rose made me laugh and laugh, Thank you!
If I'd read this earlier I might have hopped in my car and come for that yummy dinner.
Oh, poor Rose. I'd hate to think which of my sheep I most resemble...
Sounds like a lovely, very productive day! I really enjoy it when my day is peaceful, but allot is accomplished. Too funny about Rose...yes there is always one in the bunch (and I right there with them). I have that cookbook too. Maybe I should pull it out and use it....

I've yet to meet a Shetland that CANNOT get intomore trouble and act so innocent when caught. I do believe it's in the breed genes.

I have the same cookbook! My kids were not impressed with the pancake recipe...lol.
I will have to check out that cookbook at some point. Growing up, we had a horned goat that would get stuck in the same place, same fence every. Day. Amazing.
