It's Lonely Here All by Myself

Blogging. It's a lonely sport. I mean, I'm sitting here putting my pantaloons on display for the whole world to see, but it's not very interactive. I feel like all of you have become my dear friends but I'm just talking at you versus with you. Sure, there's the comment section, which I still say is the funniest part of this whole blog. But I want more. I want to see the pictures of the Nanny bread Deb made. I want you all to share your links with Karen Anne so she can get some chicken diapers. I want to see the quilt your working on or the sweater you're knitting. I want to share more things like Death Metal Rooster or odd photos from around here that didn't make the post of the day. I need you to share your favorite egg recipes with me because I've got eggs out the wazoo. And I want to be able to have a conversation that doesn't get lost in the comment sections. So, you know what I did? I created a fan page on Facebook.

Yep, there I'm told you can upload your photos for us all to see, start discussions where we can easily keep track of them and let you in on some of the hilarity that goes on around here that never quite makes it to the blog. And trust me, there's a lot of that. So sally forth my friends, become a Facebook fan and show me your pantaloons. Seriously, I need someone to go upload a picture to make sure this thing works. Oh and feel free to invite your friends, especially if they have good egg recipes...

(Links weren't working so I added a widget to the left side of the page. Let me know if it works.)

Recipe for eggs, i.e. my 1000 years old eggs...
chinese!
hardboiled eggs
sauce made from ketchup and soysauce, with onion rings, curry powder and pepper
scale eggs, pour sauce with ingredients over it to cover, leave at least 1 day. keeps good up till week.
my children loved it!

Oh, bother...the Facebook link is not working...

(Can that be my gratuitous egg recipe? Egg-in-the-face? LOL Ahem...)

Beware of Facebook, really...they have a farm game where the sheep are all cute, the chickens don't talk back, and the crops grow no matter what. It's very addicting...

Well the links work just fine for me. LOL

There is a widget in the side bar if you scroll down the page. That should work until I fix the links.

Sorry, there's only so much time in the day.... I hope you don't abandon your blog followers!

LOL, I completely understand Michele. I've found I have to limit myself or Facebook can waste the entire day.

The fan page is just a bonus, nothing's going to change around here.

Seriously...chicken diapers?? That cracks me up. Of course I'm a fan (and on Facebook) so I'm off now to "fan up." See you over there too. ~ Conny, from Everything's So Random

First it was emails. Then it was eBay. Now it's Facebook. Whatever did I do with my life before I got this computer? I try to limit my time spent sitting here, but I'm a country gal, too, on the Illinois prairie and it's how I stay connected without burning $3 gasoline. I'm in.

Cool! I'm a Fan now :) I love your blog, I think I found it from Chickens in the Road forum or I went on a bunny trail from someone's blog that posts there and found you. I don't really remember. :P

I'm a fan on Facebook now, too! The widget worked for me, and when I signed up you had 49 fans already. Whoo hoo!

Okay, okay, I just signed up for facebook....now what? This is new to me and I've got no idea what I'm doing here, but I'm a fan! Yep, it's official! I'm a fan!

I just got onto Facebook a week or two ago.

Apparently they've recently broken something about making the Photo tab visible to Everyone for individual members, so you guys can't see my photo albums yet, boo hoo.

This is the closest I'm going to get to a blog since I would never update a blog often enough. Next up, photos of my home renovation stuff in progress.

me on Facebook

Maybe this direct link to the photos will work
