A Little Chicken Therapy

I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we are having this afternoon and decided to go in for a therapy session. “Come on up girl.”

Everyone should have a lap chicken. They’re good for the soul.

Agreed, chicken therapy is a good thing. Aren't their feathers so smooth. And that is one beautiful lap chicken you have there.

I would love to keep chickens but it's not to be, not in surburban UK

I would love a lap chicken. Right now, all I have is a 65 lb. dog who thinks she's a lap dog.

Mad About Craft,

More and more places in the U.S. are allowing chickens.

I guess I could have a lap chicken. She wouldn't get hit by a train if she was kept in the house. You think?

They make chicken diapers so you can keep them in the house!

It would be so nice to have a lap chicken. The girls and I are working on it. Thanks for giving me hope :)

That is what Penny has. A couple of her girls are so petted they are like kitty cats. She is greatly attached to them.

I love the portrait shot. Those little spiky feathers, beside her comb....

Thank you for sharing her with us. I feel better already. :-)

I love the feeling of a hen who not only jumps up on your knee, but then hunkers down and settles in for a rest. Your girl is all fluffy and peaceful...it does wonders for whatever ails ya, doesn't it? :-)

Does she actually jump up there???

Yep, her and her sister both do.

Sometimes she even falls asleep.

I kept thinking that I would certainly wear an apron for chicken-lap-holding, then I saw the comment about chicken diapers. Oh, my, I'm still laughing.

Backyard chickens are getting to be such a hot thing, I recently saw "chicken treats" being marketed on Facebook.

Hmm, what am I snickering about? I'll bet my barred rock, Bitey Albertina, would LOVE a Facebook page of her own.
