Off With Their Heads!

Goodbye!

Farewell!

Tootle-loo!

When we bought this place we thought the first thing we would do would be to remove the doll wallpaper border from the parlor. Four years later it’s finally happening.

I’m not going to miss them. They’ve been here visiting far too long.

I got scared for a second at the title to your post. The first thing I thought of was the chickens. lol. Then I realized it must be something else. Had to stop by and find out what was going on. Hope you get alot done. That has to be my least favorite job. I need to do it in our half bath. No hurry. Have fun! Lisa

Christine,
Why does it take us so long to get around to doing things? Our kitchen project has been on-going for too long. We still need to get the backsplash up and switch plate covers on. We still don't have a switch plate cover in our entry way...something so simple!
"Bye bye baby dolls!
Happy New Year! Cheryl

It was kinda cute paper for a lil girly girl room. But not your sitting room I agree.

I love your post title!
I was glad to see the sheep and chickens were not harmed in the writing of this blog.....

Can't wait to meet you next November!

Hilarious! Why would anyone put this paper in a parlor? Because it's "Victorian?" A blast from the past for me because I decorated my daughter's room in this same paper but around 20 years ago. And she hated it. They creeped her out, staring at her as she lay in her little bed. Poor thing.

Love your blog, glad I found it!
Have a warm and cozy New Year!
Take Care,
Robin

I love the idea that you have a parlor in your house. I wish we had one.

This brings back memories for me! The previous owners of our house were in love with wallpaper borders and had them in every single room. I was so happy to remove them. And yes, some of them took me a few years to get around to removing. Our computer room had a choo-choo train border for about 7 years.

Our nemesis in our old Indiana farm house is paneling. My dear mother-in-law was obsessed with it and doesn't understand why it is all coming down. Only the stairway and hallway left!
