You'll Never Believe This

But I'm going to tell you anyway because it's the truth.

After being blogging friends for awhile now, Milah and I decided it might be fun to meet and take a class together at one of our favorite quilt shops. We both live in different parts of the state but this shop is located pretty much in the middle and would be a great place to meet up. They don't have photos of their class samples online so while I was in there the other day I planned to take a picture, e-mail them to her and we could decide together which class we would take. Only they wouldn't let me take pictures. I could take pictures of anything in the store except the class samples. So Milah, being the brave soul that she is, trusted my judgment and signed up for a class called Bread Pudding site unseen.

A few days later I was looking through some old pictures on my hard drive and ran across some pictures I had taken at a quilt show a few years ago. Lo and behold there was a picture of the very same quilt! I must have liked it during the quilt show, too!

So, of course, I thought that was wild and sent the pictures to her saying "Wow, can you believe this? (Luckily she really liked it as well.)

But wait, that's not the really wild part. Today, while the kid is off visiting the King Tut exhibit at the children's museum with his cousins I decided to take advantage of the rare occasion of being alone and headed out to one of my favorite antique malls. This mall is in the complete middle of nowhere. Seriously, the town has this mall, a gas station and a few houses. That's it.

So while I was wandering around I found a stoneware bowl that matched a stoneware pitcher I already owned. I thought I was pretty lucky. Then I ran across a booth that had a stash of fabric and quilting books. Like any reasonable quilter I dropped everything and started inspecting this bounty a little more closely. And THIS my friends is where it gets really wild...

In this little country antique mall in the middle of nowhere I found THE BOOK that has THE PATTERN called Bread Pudding that was published in 1993. It was so freaky it gave me the heebie jeebies.

That is some wild and wacky stuff! Now you just go ahead and TRY telling me this wasn't meant to be.

I'm getting goosebumps.:D

About our favorite quilt shop,
Ha! You showed them! And they act like it's an original, one of a kind! Like you would be stealing it if you took a picture! Hahaha! I hope you bring that book to class! I dare you!

I think you'd be cursed if you DIDN'T take the class!!!
Love the quilt too!
So the shop doesn't really want to promote their quilt classes or what? I've never heard of such a thing!

What a beautiful quilt! It does seem strange that they wouldn't let you take a picture--after all you'd be promoting their class and all.
