Take One Down, Pass It Around...

One hundred thirty blocks of a quilt on the wall,
One hundred thirty blocks of a quilt,
Take one down,
Pass it around,
One hundred twenty-nine blocks of a quilt on the wall...

There are 1,560 pieces of fabric in this quilt. I counted them.

I'm starting to lose it a little.

The blocks are up on the wall. If you notice any glaring arrangement issues speak now or forever hold your peace. My eyes are tired and weary of looking at it. Once I sew them into rows there won't be any goin' back and changing things I can assure you.

The whole thing was designed around this border fabric, but now I'm worried maybe there should be a small, thin border before this striped one? Of course I've scoured my stash and nothing is suitable so I'd have to go buy something. So maybe the stripe would be okay by itself? Or maybe I buy something and use the same fabric for the binding? Hmm...I may need a few glasses of wine to make a decision like this.

Having made quilts with lots of pieces I know what all you went thru. I have a suggestion though...since the dark red appears to be the promiment color I think the points should all go one direction. Would that throw the pattern off!

Have a blessed weekend!

I love this quilt! I also love the look of stripe fabric in the binding. It looks like candy that way. So my vote is to go shopping for border fabric, use the stripe fabric for binding, and have that glass of wine when your done.

I vote with Milah! That stripe would be a wonderful binding. And I love the reds all mixed up. blessings, marlene

Done with the blocks already?!? Have I lost my mind, or was it just a few days ago that you started them? Anyway, I love the colors of the quilt and the pattern. It's beautiful!

Beautiful quilt! I think a nice rich red fabric would look striking between the blocks and the edging personally, but it would also look nice as is.

I get such a kick out of the fact you designed a quilt around the border fabric. I make choices like that all the time! It looks great so far. No vote on binding but I agree there should be an inner border before the stripe.

I would go with red, too. It'll anchor the quilt. Looks great!

That is soooo beautiful. Love those colors. Have to agree with some others on putting a nice rich red between the blocks and the striped binding, I think it would draw more attention to the blocks.

GORGEOUS!!!

I think a nice wide border of that stripe is all that is necessary.

Your quilt looks great. I vote for a thin red border before adding the stripe. It would set off the red bits in the quilt nicely.
